  • Terry's Technique Video

    http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/te...=recent&page=1

After many request from my millions of fans I have tried to post a video to photobucket. Not sure this will work as it's my first time. The video just shows me shooting the spots directly into the camera but my technique (and all of its flaws) is there for all to see.

Comments and recommendations appreciated. The biggest thing I noticed is my tip goes to the left right after strike and I'd like to straighten that out a bit.

(Holy CWAP! It actually worked. J6uk...give me both barrels!)

That's very consistent at that pace Terry, do you think you are not finding the centre of the cb, as cue is going to the left but cue ball has very slight right hand side on it, so I'm guessing you are hitting slightly right of centre going through slightly right to left.
Saying that its bloody good at that pace.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Your elbow is coming out every time on the final delivery , until that point it looks all ok .

Really must make a video like this for checking out my cueing...

Wonder if the skewed cue at the end of your stroke would be less on a slower pace shot, Terry?

Oh I think I have cracked it Terry, concentrate on the cue(where it runs across the Cush is the best area to see this) at the end of the backswing it moves very slightly to your right(and I mean very slightly looks a few mill so have look hard), what to you think?
This is great wish I could video my cue action, wouldn't post it up though, lol,

Terry, I.M.H.O. I think your stance needs to be 2inches further to the left.(left leg wider)

                Hi terry

I was going to take a look but cant get in to see it. It keeps saying no video or photos on this album when I click on the technique video.

                Cheers Chris

Really like it!! Nice one tel, respect
I can only comment from this video so.. Like the way you stepped into the shot with a half step but at the same time, you look a little like you were dropping in a from the side and you dropped down hesitantly, with a pause to adjust on every drop but, my real focus was on your eyes not following your cue and the 'so called grip'/the eye of the hand, how you seemed to not really have it defined. The lads of your level and age Ive practiced with have all had a very positive 'so called grip' so, This is unusual for an lad like yourself, of your standard.

Could you do a video of you cuing along the baulk line? accelerating along it without contacting a ball because, this always gives me a good indication of were someones game/technique is at.

You seem to be very tense maybe due to the fact your filming yourself, regarding that dartfish video maybe old habits creeping back into your game lately..?

                          Hi Terry
thanks for sharing, must have taken a lot of guts to do. I really respect you for that. It was a bit hard to tell exactly when the tip of the cue started to steer to the left because of the pace you played the shot. However it seems to appear that your grip hand was not very close to your chest on the follow through. Could it be that you are trying to steer your grip hand AROUND your chest instead of driving it INTO it on the follow through. Would make sense when remembering one of your earlier comments about you believing the cue pulling off line only after contact with CB. Your shoulder position is exactly like Nic Barrow's by the way, and he doesn't worry too much about it. Hope I could help a bit
