    humper:

I virtually every frame of normal snooker there are always reds between the black and the cushion and using the line-up with 2 reds between black and cushion will teach you how to play these shots with confidence. I think you could use a 2-5-6-2 setup and benefit from that. As you get more fluent try 3-5-7 or 3-5-6-1 and then graduate to 4-6-5 since that first red is only about 1/4" or so off the cushion and it is not a very easy shot as you have to use a little power to a closed pocket, but it sure teaches you how to handle those shots which come up often in a regular frame.

Change nothing except to stand a little closer to the cue ball so that you address it from about a 1/4 of an inch away rather than the two inches that you do now.
Don't try to alter this distance simply by pushing the cue and/or the bridge arm further forward, you need to stand a little closer to keep the bridge distance and the angle of your cue arm the same as it is now.

It is a very short distance that you need to alter so place your right foot as normal, but before placing your left foot, take a look down at your right foot and move it that extra inch and a half further forward, look up and carry on from there but make sure that your tip is that 1/4 of an inch away from the cue ball.
