It is one frustrating game but all the good players I talk to say stick with it. You will find it gets much easier but you have to take your ups and downs. I no my major problem is my table which they are fixing next week. My corners are cut very tight and actually get narrower after the fall and they are not under cut at all. I have more balls that rattle then go in. Shooting black off the spot is just about impossible and running one from the rail is out of the question. I had Terry Davidson my coach down last Friday and his high break in three games was 18. When I go to his training facility and play a match with him he can run 50 or more. My table is a real confidence buster no booster.

Thanks for all the replies folks, it seems that I am not alone. No matter how frustrating it all gets, I always look forward to the next game. It's very strange really, at the start of the frame in which I gave 25 points away, I made a point of saying that I am not going to give any points away in this frame and blow me, it was the worst of them all. There must be a link between thoughts and actual approach to the game.

None of the responders has mentioned the red that I keep bringing up the table from the break-off. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, am I doing something specifically wrong? I usually try to hit the back red about half ball with some RHS on the cue ball.

Thanks again for the input, tis a little comforting!

similar break to mine ,try using a bit more top than side ,let the top and side move the ball rather than power

I have now posted a video check out the cue action. Aiming to the right and object ball going left. Anyone have and idea how to correct this. Seems to be my major problem.

Thanks for this info, very helpful. I am now hitting the cueball at about 1 o/c and it really is working a treat, thanks.
