No confidence in any kind of shot. I have stopped playing on it and given up practicing because I just get so frustrated. Dont make the mistake I made. I have guys coming back the first week of January to take a good 1/8" or better off the rubber, this should make my table a lot more enjoyable to play on and start to re build my confidence.
That's quite sad to hear Les, is there no way of sorting it ? Can you not practice straight shots lol at least you should hit the middle of the pocket then the size won't matter. Or Blacks off the spot these don't have to be hit hard to regain position, so more chance of potting them, I can appreciate how hard it must be there are a couple of places round here that have star match tables and they are quite tight compared to our club tables so if yours are tighter it must be tough.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Yes sad is an under statement. None of my friends will play on it because it is way too tough for them. Black off the spot goes if it is it absolutey perfect. When your down over a black off the spot shot and you look towards the corner you take a second look to make sure there is even a pocket there....LOL what I practice is 6 reds off each colour spot from different angles making position on next colour. That is the only way I can enjoy my table and gain any kind of confidence. I went through the same thing with my old 1889 5x10 Brunswick table. The old tables are beautiful but the pockets are tight on almost all of them.
