I believe that anyone who learns to play the game well with a rack cue will be a great club player. I know many who just turn up,grab a cue from what appears to be a poor lot,then proceed to knock an 88 in against you! I think it's a fundamental rule of coaching. IMHO

These players have such sound technique and experience which enable them to play to a good standard albeit using "crappy" cues.
However, I still think a good personal cue will help in improving the skill level and consistency for anyone picking up this game.When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back. GET MAD!!
