  • Practice Game Intentions

    Hi guys
I have a table at home and I do alot of solo practice.
All I want to know is when ye play practice matches whats best
to do .....all out potting or play safety.
All out potting isnt really improving my game.
I dont have alot of practice partners and dont really want to
**** off the ones I have by playing too much safety.

How do ye approach practice games Snookerheads? 😉

On the rare occasions I play someone, it really depends ,I have one friend who just likes to knock them about, messes up the table something awful but we just like a natter and a game, so I just try and pot everything, but when playing one of the good lads I try my best every shot as the table is normally tidier and I have a better chance of a break, and if I do play poorly I could be picking balls out for the next ten mins, which is what usually happens .
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I treat it exactly the same as a match.

Can you not play for a couple of ££'s , so that you mates will also play safety shots . Makes it a little bit more interesting . Rather than just trying to pot everything off the lampshades !!
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

open up the Jack Daniels - invite me down and we will both go for everything

Practice is fun as well - so do a bit of both I mean play the right shots in a proper game - but dont just try and win and kill them on the table every game - have a bit of fun too - You will be supprised how liberating it can be to have a few open games smash them up for the other guy dont play safe and play to leave him on as well.

There are players that suck the life out of ya and some that go all out to win - play as you play in practice and in a match and all that jazz but - if you chuck in and change it up and just say - right lets have a few frames where you are not allowed to play safe - it makes you go for your shots and position. Dont count frames just count your own breaks and try and beat it. If you cant pot one you have to leave the other fella on and you have to break off smashing open the pack as hard as you can.
