again, you come from a darts background right? i too know what its like to stay in the treble bed, hitting b2b 180s and finding my out shot in one or two darts. and i would describe the feeling the same way, your poised on your brace leg and pumping the board from the hinge of the elbow.
if you threw the darts from the hand or hit the ball with the so called grip, you'd be riddled with tension and have nothing to offer in competition

Bloody hell I understand what you mean now, yes you can't throw with the hand, and yes you can't push the cue with the hand (or grip) as it has to tighten it to do so, just reading that I got that relaxed feeling in my forearm lol, and I'm not joking.

Went in today played the same lad as the other day managed a couple of thirties (31, 32)and a couple of twenty odds just concentrated on this elbow thing, and staying still,much more relaxed felt my cueing come back, my grip wasn't tightening,I know it's on the right track now.
One break on 24 just low on the black ,there is a loose red so ideal pot the black stun into pack to split them leave myself on open red ,couldn't be simpler, so I potted the black, the pack exploded like a dandelion clock, absolutely perfect, and I'm nicely on the red, missed the bloody red lol, which drew this comment"feck me Jim give yourself a shake for missing that I thought you were going to make a load there" never mind , I was happier with the way I played, it's not quite as it should be but I know I will get there now.
Those past days really gave me a fright, and thanks to everyone who has helped me, it is very much appreciated.
