See me at my five minute best and you would swear I could turn pro, see me at my worst and you would think I started to play the game yesterday. For that reason I don't hit regular big breaks and I don't hit regular small breaks.
What I advocate isn't a system as such, it's how I see the way natural hand and eye co-ordination works in snooker. If you look at a target and the hand follows the eye then this surely is how it must be.
The grip hand and the bridge hand put the cue on the line of aim, the eyes guide both hands so the eyes must find the real target before the stance is taken and the real target is the contact point on the object ball and hence the line of aim runs from that point to the butt of the cue and looking at the real target when placing the hands (cue) on the line of aim is mandatory.
It has to be this way and it works for me every time I do it, but 50% of the time I don't do it and therefore am a terribly inconsistant player.

This is very interesting. Hand I coordination is where it is at but I really never thought of this way in Snooker. I know I have many shots where say you are playing a 3/4 pink and at the last minute my eyes go to the pocket and you steer the cue ball off line. I am famous for letting my eyes wonder and then my body moves along with my eyes. I am now working on staying perfectly still and eyes glued on BOB. Thanks VMax not sure where I will find a match box around here but I will find something that will work.

It's works that well j6uk? So maybe I should have a box behind the bar and every night when I go down to practice I should spend a few minutes running my cue through the box.

              Les:

Use a flat cigarette pack sitting on its edge to cue through. It's virtually the same thing
