  • Pocket size for the most part is just a mental thing, how many balls do you actually rattle? not many would be my guess. I usually miss by a mile or I make the ball.

That is terrific news Les, very well done, I bet the drive home was like floating on air, now get down stairs and do more practice lol, chuffed for you fella. Just relax that grip and arm and the cue will come through, doesn't matter if you miss, as you will miss doing it wrong anyway, so like me you may as well look good playing poorly , sometimes it can fool people into thinking your better than what you are, gives you a wee edge lol.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

we should all learn something new every day
the story goes that there are only a limited number of officially sanctioned templates from WPBSA out there.
I believe back in the 80/90s Clive Everton & Snooker Scene magazine had a campaign to World Snooker to release many more so more clubs/organisations could have sanctioned tables. Not sure what happened.
FYI, apart from the normal arguments about pockets being big or small; a sanctioned table means that a 147 would be recognised, just ask John Spencer what that means
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

Agreed that pool would be a more sensible choice.
However, he would still complain about pocket size or something else equipment related. The pain would be even greater because he'd have greater expectations.

                We have the
Ontario Open Championship coming up middle of May which I have entered just for experience as this is the class for players such as Terry and Floyd but it is round robin so you never know. Then May 24 & 25 is the Amature Championship which I am looking forward to.

where can anyone buy a set of templates
either WPBSA or ISBA (or whatever it is called )
IBSF sells them or else see if you can find a retired ref. The best ones are the old B&SCC ones

The WPBSA will not sell theirs and I have no reason why. The IBSF does (or at least did) sell theirs via their website but they are expensive but I can't remember the price. They are made by Wiraka but perhaps by Schender now.
