I will try it as a stun shot Terry, it does make it sound harder, but I'm up for it. What's the worst that can happen? I get frustrated and snap my cue, oh heck maybe I should quit while I'm ahead. Although I don't think there will be that much difference in power to stop the white on the blue spot from the brown spot isn't a power shot in any sense of the word, but the below centre striking will definitely show up any off centre cueing.
Just don't snap your own cue but make sure the owner isn't a big guy! Probably better to beat your head against the wall, or even better against the rail.
Any of you guys clear the colours off the spots and then continual from the black back up to the yellow to see how many times you clear them..Managed it 3 times (when I was playing) and then got the wrong side of the blue for the 4th run to loose the position on the pink through a punch shot.
The Star is collecting dust, guys, my last pot was mid January. Just been toooooo busy leaving me too tired at night. Getting back to it this weekend though..

All the best, guys.
I will give it a go but I'm not nearly good enough to do it.

How did you play black to yellow I always appear to get out of position and leave a hard pot on the yellow I suppose it all depends on what angle you finish on the black !!!!!/

i did it 6 times in a row then moved on.. its a good routine if you have some patience and focus, do you have that?
any clear goals ahead for you?
remember if the dust is getting the better of you then start loading the boxes on the table
Well Terry I did it, just the once but I held the white on the blue spot sent the blue up and down it smacked the white square on and it went right over the brown spot, I had about thirty attempts at it lol, and that came around the tenth attempt, got a few quarter ball and half ball hits but that was the only one that came close so it was a bit flukey really, my first few attempts missed by around three ball widths lol, I had to zero myself in , I also didn't understand how some of them reacted, as the white would stop on the spot ,the blue would go right down the spots but come off line on the way back up as if it had a wee bit of side on it when hitting the bottom Cush , maybe from where I was I couldn't see it exactly and it had just drifted a bit as it wouldn't have to be much off line for the angle to widen as it came back the table.

I would put down some of the variance you got to the cushions, so whatever you do don't adjust your set-up and sighting to compensate for getting a good blue ball contact.
I have a BCE Westbury with steel blocked cushions and Northern Rubber but I've seen when shooting the spots the cueball hit the centre mark on the third leg and then take off at a slight angle, usually to the right. I figure after 3 lengths of the table, with all 3 right down the centreline there just can't be any side left on the cueball and that veer to the right has to be due to the cushion not bouncing exactly true.
Never even thought of that, no I won't change a thing, the last thing I changed in my action was making sure my shoulder was locked, I had been going through a bad slump and not cueing straight at all, I read you and Vmax saying to feel that muscle just have a wee bit of tension in it, I did this and immediately it felt better and I got my forearm swinging freely again and my hand came out of the shot, and I stopped getting that slight collapse feeling at the end of the shot.I checked myself in the mirror ,a kind of before and after, and on the before my shoulder had definitely came out and my arm was at the side of my head if you know what I mean, then I got that shoulder in the right place and checked in the mirror and everything was back inline , my game came back overnight, so I am doing nothing else bar practice now, see sometimes Terry what you say does sink in with some folk and it really helped me, as I had got really lazy with my technique.

Lazy that is a good word for me also. Played a 4 game match this afternoon against Floyd and I could not pot a thing. After he left I sat down and started to think what has Terry drilled into my head.
1. Loose Grip
2. Stay down and still on the shot.
3. Follow through
4. Keep eyes on BOB
5. Keep cue arm parallel finish to chest
I went back down to my table and ran 73 in a Line Up.
Thanks Terry
