Sounds to me that you and your friend are just not cut out to play snooker to a decent level.
With pockets that big with a national champion playing (i think that's what you called him), he should be scoring a lot lot lot higher than that, even i got a 57 break last night on pockets far far tighter than your's, and i'm rubbish lol

Floyd Zeigler was offered his pro tour card but had to turn it down due to his sponsor backing out.

As a Canadian I am sad to say there are no players in Canada at this time who would be able to compete effectively with even the junior pros on the circuit. What's worse is we have no younger players taking up the game, all of them are playing American pool as we have around a dozen pool pros.

The pro ticket Floyd was offered was first offered to Alex Pagulayan (sp?) however he declined in favour of his pro pool although I see he's playing in the Q School this year along with Corey Duel.

To be fair to Floyd usually when we play at Les' place there aren't a lot of frames. When I was there we played just 2 frames but I'm not certain how many Floyd and Les played. When Floyd plays in one of our ranking tournaments he will normally score some high break however to be fair you have to understand the conditions we play under.

Here they don't know how to take care of their tables. For instance our last tournament at Annex Billiards I got there early and saw the lady who cleans the tables (who was very short) use a vacuum cleaner ACROSS THE NAP! That really screws a table up as it is slow and you can't roll a ball accurately. The last tournament I played in which was the Ontario Masters although the tables had new 6811 cloth installed they were not brushed, blocked or ironed and there were finger marks all over them and they were very slow for new cloths. Pockets in both clubs do play a little tight.

I know we have at least one guy from Canada at Q School which starts today. In the late 70's and early 80's we had a few guys over in your country showing you guys how the game is played...LOL but Snooker vanished after that and is just now making a come back.

You are really bashing us Canadians. I might not be cut out to play at a decent level but I am sure working on it but Floyd can play the game at a very high level even at the age of 55. My high break is 43 and his 147 so how good does he have to play to beat me, he seems to try a lot of shots that I know he would not play if it was a serious match.

les i think you could be far more aggressive with your replies here on tsf when you feel someones getting under your skin. don't worry they can handle it this also could transfer to your over all play

your high break might 'only' be 43 (Id bet thats higher than most on here) but you have the balls to post videos of yourself, even when you were struggling with your game - with the goal to get advice and try to improve and be the best you can be - whether that's a 50 break or a 100 break. Kudos to you.

I have to say. Sometimes if I play badly. I'm so pissed off that I have trouble sleeping. I really do get quite angry with myself.

are you really saying that if things don't go your way on the weekend you can put a red and black in a sock or find yourself walking straight out the club with just your cue, tempted to spear a couple of undesirables?

Ha ha. No. Not angry with others. Angry with myself if I know I've not played to the best of my ability.
