I'm surprised about one thing. I noticed no one mentioned your forearm when you are at the address position. It isn't vertical. Seems to be about 30 degrees or so from the vertical position (which would probably be why your cue is going up that much for the backswing - not as much room when your forearm isn't vertical at the address position). Having said that, you're still potting the balls, so I guess whatever works for you.

That is the one thing i saw that really stood out to me!

I was going to try moving my bridge further from the cue ball so i have more room to get the arm at a more vertical angle.

But then i thought that if i could get lower and bring the elbow down it would help straighten it aswell, but that proved to be more difficult than id initially expected lol.

I know i can pot and make decent breaks and if i hadnt of filmed myself id be quite happy how i was lol but now iv seen it i cant help but want to fix these things and get more consistant.

Well, how about if you held the cue higher up? Like 2-3 inches from the butt end...

It would be a good idea if you can get your camera higher up. It would make viewing easier and we would be able to see angles better.

Rightoncue. Try this. Hold the cue a bit further away from the butt. Rais the cueing elbow higher and simutaniusly push your chest to the cue touching it slightly all the time. As i can see the chin is on the cue but not the chest.

This should get you lower down on the shot. Try to keep all in touch (grip. Chest. Chin. Bridge) helped me to take away a lot of uneanted body movments.

raise the elbow higher? i thought it was too high already lol but i guess its hard to tell until i get my forearm more vertical.

i will give it a go though and see how it goes, it cant hurt

              cheers

Elbow higher from the body. Not from the floor. Push the chest more down wards to the cue. That will raise the elbow in the end. As there is also a lot of space between chest and cue.

sorry my english is a bit off.

                            video of my practice routine

I have got my ironing board set up to the table height and been using this to work on some things until i can get back on the table.

I am really trying to just get used to raising the elbow and getting my chest on the cue aswell as bringing my grip further down the cue to get my forearm more vertical on set up.

Whether it works when i get to potting balls who knows lol

REMEMBER...do not pull the cue into the chest but rather lower the chest down to the cue. The cue should be one chalk height or a bit lower over the cushion and keep the elbow up as much as possible at the end of the delivery.
