  • Coaching in China

Recently there was a coach on the forum who said he would be moving to Beijing but I can't remember who. I was wondering get if that person would stop over or be paying Hong Kong a visit, where I could then contact for some coaching. If that coach could pm me that would be great.

    Thanks

I believe it was CoachGavin who discussed a possible move to China.

Is not Wayne Griffiths still in HK at the Academy?

I've tried to find out to little avail.. As info online isn't great. Plus he's probably very expensive or overcharges. I doubt it's him personally but a bunch of certified coaches who are more focused on the Hong Kong youth team. I want a coach with a bit more heart and patience who will put up with my lack of talent in the game

I might look to get a few friends together to share the cost if it means a round trip but would need to see if he's coming to Hong Kong first anyway. Nothing to do in Beijing anyway lol

          Coaching in China

yes. I'm moving to Tianjin near Bejing in a couple of weeks to live for a year. There is a chance I may do a few weeks coaching in the South or maybe Hong Kong. I will know more when I arrive out there.

ei, er, san, si, wu, liu, qi, ba, jiu 1-9 in very phonetic; if I recall my Modern Standard Chinese from many many years ago

ni hao - hello - to a single person
nimen hao - hello to a group

                xie xie - thank you

I am sure you will pick up the colloquailism of all this very quickly

maybe Phil In China can give you some pointers
