Ok not sure if that title is correct but i was experimenting doing a video and posting it on here but it didn't look very good so i didn't post it but one thing i noticed was my elbow was sticking out so i played tonight with the emphasis on keeping it tucked in and i scored more heavily than i have done for years, now this wouldn't have registered but i hadn't played for a week and i was playing against somebody and not practising alone.

Now my question is should all players keep their elbows tucked in or is it down to the individual?

I do'nt know about elbow. but usually after a few days of rest (a few days, not six months), you can see the balls and contact area of CB and OB better. because your eyes are not tired and are equipped. I read this somewhere. !!!! maybe it has to do with that ???????

Are you a shoulder dropper when you follow through ?

Elbow sticking out, drop the shoulder before the strike and you will hit across the cue ball.

Elbow right on the line of aim, drop the shoulder before the strike and there's a good chance that everything stays relatively straight.

If you don't drop your shoulder before the strike then it doesn't matter at all where your elbow is.

I couldn't answer that because i have no idea what dropping the shoulder means, yes I know it is self explanatory but i had been playing for 30 years before i read about it on here and even thinking about it whilst playing I have no clue if I'm doing it or not

It was the camera angle of the video that was dreadful, I need a tripod or something.
I don't mind looking terrible myself as i am!

Ok ! Wasn't sure as some folk have a bent bridge arm while others have it poker straight, I though maybe you had a very bent bridge arm.
I think Vmax has covered it.

I wouldn't drop the shoulder before the Strike because the tip will strike the cue ball higher than intended. You will also find accuracy difficult playing from the shoulder. Try and keep everything in line and keep your technique simple by playing from the elbow.
