This thread is now meaningless as this guy is either trolling or American. If its the latter then it explains the one way arrogance - after all, this is a country that likes to call its teams world champions at sports only they play!

If you're talking about the World Series of baseball etc , they call it that because it's sponsored by a newspaper called the "world".
As for the 9ball/ snooker thing ... Both are different sports and have different styles of play . I personally think snooker is far tougher but if 9 ball is easier then it's easier for both players . So the better player will still always win

Snooker v pool (all pool) debate goes on everywhere at every level. In my experience it is always the pool player who can't play snooker that claims pool is the tougher game.

I look at it this way...
The prize money for professional snooker tournaments are usually substantially higher than that of American pool, no?
These guys play for their living and I'd expect them to go where there is money to be made.
However, I only know of snooker players joining the American pool circuit and never the other way round, except for Alex Pagulayan. (Didn't fare too badly but did not exactly set the world on fire. Nevertheless kudos to him, being his first attempt.)
Speaks volume about which is the tougher discipline, doesn't it?
We may never know if ROS can be better at pool than SVB or SVB at snooker but imo, snooker is a much more difficult game. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back. GET MAD!!

Aiming/Sighting Consistency
I would like to challenge one earlier point in this debate......
Ronnie O'Sullivan is not naturally gifted and to suggest so is not doing any justice to the work he has put in as a player, particularly in his youth. Key to all of this was his ability for 'purposeful practise' in a competitive and challenging environment

Neither.
Irrelevant.
No, doesn't work like that. Pick banks or one pocket or 3 cushion rather than 9 ball. Combined scores are meaningless.
Where did he - Chris Melling - say 9 ball is harder than snooker show me the quote -
You are not deluded but yet have never played snooker? - so how do you know what snooker is like to play then? - Perhaps you could be the one who is hideously misinformed - just to quote a bad phrase recently used.
It is not irrelevant its the point - Overall taking into account all frames played at both games Ronnie would be the better player yes or no?
I don't actually know what the hell you mean on this last point sorry - The proper English language system that we gifted your ancestors with really did get messed up by you guys since the time we found your country - my irony is currently lost on you along with your sense of indignation at loosing out on this debate.

You may google this at your leisure, then come back to me with profuse apologises. I don't hold grudges on this issue as i was entirely ignorant about the subject myself until i switched to american pool a few years ago.
