Keep it up - I will be interested to see your progress next year too - you seem keen - snooker - dedication - a straight cuing style a good eye for the ball - level headed - you well on your way
It's nice to see you included me in the elite list.... if Cliff reads this post he will be rolling over laughing. But thanks for the mention....

I would like to see you stay down a bit longer on the shot, sometimes you are nearly standing up before the cue ball makes contact with the object ball.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Your potting is good because you are not thinking about position which makes the pot that so much easier, you may well find it's a lot harder when you have to control the white ball

That could be as I know it screws up my head. Played my son a best of three this morning now he is just learning but can pot them but does not really care much about shape so I spot him 25 and beat me two games straight. The second game I made 9 reds with no colours and lots of chances to make big breaks as he tends to knock everything wide open. I seem to have a mental block. Now get this we had friends over last night and we play a game where we play with 15 reds and 6 numbered balls in the middle and 6 cards. You have to make a red then a numbered ball and if you make a red and your number you win but if you make someone else's number they are knocked out but you continue to shoot. I won every game but one and at least three games I actually rolled in three numbers before I made mine which is eight balls. I see them out there and I make a plan of how I am going to get to mine. I Play 8 ball on my sons 4-1/2x9 table and in more then one occasion I have run the table. SO WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME OTHER THEN A MENTAL ADJUSTMENT. I just don't see the shots until I get to the colours then I am home free because I know what comes next but usually it's too late by then....

Yeah, I know what it is. You keep forgetting to play position on a colour.

                            Hehe!

Do you make sure you pick your shot every single time before you get down?

"Right, I need to pot this red, and get on the pink here, so that I can get back down to these two reds". Once you've decided that, you decide how you achieve it "I need, stun, with medium power". Then get down, and play that shot just concentrating on the pot because the position should take care of itself.

Do you do that every single time?

That would only be true if I wasnt thinking about position at all, im still trying to get on a ball but my position just isnt good, not that im not trying at all

Don't think you're getting what I'm trying to say, you are banging the white about and hitting the CB where YOU think you need to hit it which is your own thinking, where when it comes to hitting the CB properly to get position will be very different to how you're thinking and potting now.
