      Cheers for all the help, hopefully i can control it a bit better. Tonight is match night so will soon see.

      I am going to try and approach it as if the game is a friendly and hope that helps, will also be trying harder to keep my negative attitude in check as this probably only makes things worse.

        Thank you so much CoachGavin, I played my first game of the season last night and while still nervous just said to myself try your best in every situation, after a bout of safety I knocked in a thirty four, missed the pack, played safe, got in ,knocked in a twenty two, so more or less a two visit frame. This approach really helped me.

          it is not easy to do but with practice you will find the mentality easier. You will also find that when you miss or lose a close frame or match you will get over it quicker knowing that you have given it your best effort. you will probably play much more positive too.
