Middle to just below... Push the cue through at the same speed... All that will change is how you work the grip...

That's a nice snooker room you've got Potr, do you have an extension on the back of the house?
I Just watched the video back and made notes.
6:00 - white rolls off before it hits the object ball... no idea why?
8:35 - Running side, two cushions.
12:35 - Running side, two cushions.
12:48 - Touch of check side to hold cueball straightish.
13:40 - Really poor shot, entirely down to me... just threw a quick one in and it cost me the visit.
13:48 - ... coz I had to force the stun run following the poor shot, got a poor contact and left me needing to rescue.
14:12 - running side... Was hoping to have it 4 cushions including the bottom but didn't quite hit it enough...
Final shot you see I elected the 4 cushions using the side instead of the bottom... missed the pot

Les:
Try using the top cushion right from the start and just roll through with no stun or side until it becomes necessary. So a 3/4 black to start with and if you hit it the right power you'll have another 3/4 black from the other side. You don't seem to be playing for that sweet area I told you about between black and pink level but off the side cushion.Terry Davidson

Hi Les
I have been looking through this post and I think it's great what you are trying to do and encourage others in their practise routines in order to improve. However, and I hope you understand I am trying to be honest and help here, until you learn to draw the cue back smoothly most of the way back to the bridge, pause and follow through the cue ball, no routines in the world will ever improve your consistency. Your standard some days might be okay, but in terms of overall consistency, there will be no sustainable progress. Forget all the routines for now, every one, and learn to get your stroke right first. With the amount of dedication you clearly have for the game, I'm sure you can do it. Trust me, there is no other way if you are serious about consistent improvement.Last edited by ghost121; 14 February 2015, 09:49 PM.
