Hi guys now I am on a mission i did it twice in matter of ten minutes before I had to take my wife to a night school course. I will get a video before weeks out just have to find enough time. What is amazing is how I always rolled the ball and when on a slight cut with yellow or green I would try and put siding on it to get it to swing out wide enough. 90% of the time I would miss the shot because I was playing this jabby tentative roll the ball stroke then like I said earlier today it dawned on me that really the green or yellow are no different off the spot then the black is. Hit higher then Center ball to throw the cue ball straighter off the cushion and lower to throw it wider off the cushion if you can understand what I am saying. Here I am now pounding in the yellow and green. Maybe this is the one little thing when Cliff keeps saying there is some little thing that is missing and once you find it you will be off to the races. I must have made a dozen long pots with slight angles yesterday but missed easy shots where I had to come off a cushion after striking the OB all because I never know where the CB is going so once again my jabby, tentative roll the ball stroke comes into affect. Having fun, cannot wait for the next challenge next week. But don't get too advanced and discourage me just because I sound like a player because I'm not I am just feeling much more positive." This is great to hear Les, and exactly what you needed.
This is exactly what I meant by "lock yourself in the room and don't leave until you can clear the colours". Because you HAVE to work out where you're going wrong. There's only so many times you can keep on playing the green and yellow badly until you work out what you need to be doing.
I look forward to the video!WPBSA Level 2 - 1st4Sport Coach

Since the challenge calls for 2 clearances, here's #2. The "recovery shot" edition.

In terms of the challenge it's just one required. But if you doing 2 clearances, I think you're meant to get position on the yellow after the final black and make another clearance.

Brown to Blue. I tend to feck that up a lot and black to yellow. I'm slightly better on black to yellow then brown to blue.

I think it's important to not lose focus and start trying more difficult things. That's part of Les' problem. He'll do one little thing then start trying to do something else, not manage it, get disheartened and lose all his structure and improvement.WPBSA Level 2 - 1st4Sport Coach

Now the all important clearances. The ones that really count. It's only Wednesday and I have lost track on how many times I have cleared them. I actually have three up there because one was kind if a fluke, hey they all count. I really like the second one on the brown ball. Very good solid pot with perfect position.
