Just done the weeks challenge, twice. First one was straightforward, second one took 3 missed final blacks before completing with knocking the remaining pink in just for fun!! I'm really not that good but the challenges are welcome tests. This one teaches close cue ball control round the black spot and the snowball effect of a poor positional shot is magnified as I was trying to avoid cannoning reds. A good test after last weeks 6 pots, 8 pots is a step up. Pleased with myself I'm going to watch the golf now!

I did the colours challenge yesterday, first day i had a chance to do it. it went ok , however i have this camera which can record but won't stay on for 5 minutes, it gets hot and switches off.
i must have completed the 2 in a row several times but couldn't capture it , i even had a 3 timer.
well eventually i did manage to capture it, not one of my finest positional play clearances but nevertheless i still managed it

Good stuff Alabadi!
Check out this weeks challenge. I'd guess you'll find it pretty easy, so maybe see if you can do it with just blacks.WPBSA Level 2 - 1st4Sport Coach

Your mission this week, is to clear 4 reds which are positioned between the pink and black. You must take either pink or black after each red, as you would in a real frame. Try and keep the cue ball under close control to make this exercise easier.
I have attached a picture showing the starting positions. You may start with the cue ball wherever you like.
Good luck everybody!

And I can't remember how many times I manage to pot the white into the middle bag after potting the brown.
But progress is progress.
I've started to practice black to yellow. It's not easy.

When I look at something I sometimes look at it in reverse fashion, so if I find where I want the White to be on the black to make it easy to get up for the yellow, I can then go up to the pink spot and I then know where I want the White to be on the pink to get it on the black nicely, I can then go round and look at the shot I need from the blue to get where I need to be on the pink etc etc. So from one shot you can reverse engineer the entire colour clearance, I have no idea if this is a valid method or just the strange way my brain worksThis is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I think you have a valid point Ted, I do a similar think not the entire colour sequence in one go, but as I go along. So when I'm on the Yellow I will have an ideal position where I want the cueball for the Green. However I do have 1 or 2 other positions of it went wrong where I know I can get on the Brown. And I do this for each colour.
