    • Well, well!!!! I go way for 5 minutes and Les has completed the challenge again.

Nice potting Les. Some lovely positive stun shots in there. I think once you've completed this a few more times now, you'll be more confident and that pinpoint position will take care of itself.

You're a much better player than you thought when you put your mind to it. You've had two exercises now, and not had much trouble completing either really. Keep the videos coming!

      • Remember that sound of the shots - nice eh ?

I must say something technical now - Just my opinion but I noticed you are struggling judging the pace of certain shots and though I think you would improve as you are with practice I think you could improve this quickly - it would help you to feather and get a feel of the shot before you deliver the cue or if not and you want to continue to point and shoot then at least slow down your back swing to give yourself more time to assess the pace of the shot you need - you could possible also adopt a slight pause before you drive through the shot.

All in all its much better - and you will only get better with time and practice but quite good to see your improvement - well done.

yes , you are right that the way to play them, nice and positive. i would just lower your cue maybe a tip lower to get a stun run effect, i thought the white was just running away a tad. just experiment eventually you will know what height to hit to get a positive strike yet the white travels only a few inches. its a nice shot to have in your Armour.

          • Hi guys three more and that's it for tonight. I tried something different with the last one 4 Reds with 4 Pinks missed a duck soup pink to finish it all off.... really loving this hitting the ball solid with Stun. Yes I need to work on the stun run through.

            • Good stuff Les.

Here's my latest effort, trying to focus on tighter cueball control:

EDIT: One more effort, this time all blacks, but still struggling to reign in that cue ball!

              • By the way...I feel like I get a horrible response off my cushions. The cueball loses a ton of momentum which I think makes things more difficult than they might be. I really want to replace them at some point but it's not that easy here in the US.

Looks real good to me. Tight cue ball control, that really is the name of the game. If we played from where Ronnie leaves the cue ball we could all make big breaks...LOL Starting to really get a feel for this.

                  • you got lots of nice moves sammy.. have you ever done the black routine? id like to see your next vid being running 10 consecutive blacks, and if you land straight you need to force an angle for the next black or start again
this is the single best routine in the scoring end

Good one J6, when I run Blacks off the spot that is by far my biggest fault landing dead straight.

It's a good exercises, I do this from time to time, my highest score is 21. Although I like the idea J6 said of if you get straight you have to create an angle for the next shot.
I don't I have just screwed back a couple of times, before I get an angle.

Mine is 23, I do the same thing just a couple screw backs and you are back in business. I will try it J6 way today.

                          • Two chalk marks, just lower than the black spot and towards the cushions, is a good way for control practice with the black. Have to pot and land on the chalk mark for it to be counted. Requires good control and a lot of thought.

Blue across table is another good one. See how many times you can pot the blue across the table before you have to regain position off a top or bottom cushion.

                            • 4 reds 4 blacks.

The sound cuts out and it's a bit dark. Anyway. What do you think?

I am not really one to do any critiquing as this challenge is for me to learn but I guess I also have to see if I learned anything. I would say tighter ball control with more stun shots and stop using the cushions with the cue ball. How did I do guys? Other then that looked good.
