  • Arrggghhhh!

First rule...get the chalk off the table as it will get on the trousers and it's a bitch to remove.
Second rule...table is really slow, perhaps blocking and ironing more?

I didn't see any shots where cyber could have stunned for position instead of using a cushion and except for one shot where he didn't get high enough on the last red the positional play was good I thought. Now that this exercise has been done it must be time to move on to more reds with perhaps the pink and blue there?

    • I liked it, looks free and easy; confident. I would have played the white a little differently but I found that more my personal preference. It's hard to tell with this cause its straight forward play.

      • Looks good Cyber.

First two shots were a little loose, after that it was good stuff. Cue ball was kept in good control. Well done!

Yes. Tables are quite slow. You have to hit it quite hard sometimes to get any movement. They are never ironed.

          I really should.

          Thanks again.

I still have a issue where my head bobs up and down a bit. I'm still working on it.

              • Is the black routine where you just pot the black off its spot continuously, always playing position on the black?

this is the single best routine in the scoring end

                  • OK, yeah I've done that one before, I think 16 was my best, but it's been a while. I'll see if I can compile at least 10 and post it. Although I don't want to derail the thread either, so I'm not sure this is the best place to put it?

                    • why? its not about the thread, its a one way ticket to improve, pleasing the sugars on here will take forever..
for a player like yourself your looking at getting 50 blacks within a few weeks. from what iv seen its within you. trust me, you'll improve x2
i asked this of our les over a year ago but hes still twiddling his thumbs. if you got a table in your back pocket you gotta get on it..

                        • Wow, thanks for the the encouragement, although 50 blacks sounds really tough! I'll definitely be doing this exercise next time I hit the table (which probably won't be until Monday unfortunately).

Okay j6 I was actually practicing this a couple months ago every night. My best was 23, it is a lot tougher then it sounds. The biggest mistake is to get to low on the black then you are basically finished without going round the table. Going down to practice tonight and might get to the blacks off the spot but first I have to run the colours and run the 4 reds with black or pink then I will try it. From now on that is my routine once I meet my challenge until the next challenge I repeat previous challenges before anything else. Soon I will have a bunch of challenge routines to complete the minute I sucede in the present challenge. I have started a new diary book.
