  • After reading your posts I am afraid to post anything. I cannot get by 13 and you guys are running tons in your sleep. I will do a 15 minute video and then post it and wait for you guys to rip me apart. I find this one really tough. On another note Floyd took Alain Robidoux 5-1 yesterday. Just a great tactical match.

    • You are not playing against anyone Les, it's for improvement, it's not about how many really, it's about how. Learn how to do it and the numbers will climb automatically.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

And Bob Chaperone gets a bye into the finals, go figure. Even though I never get invited I still like to follow the tournament. Floyd must have been playing well as he does have a tough time beating Bob. Looks good on him.

It is a tiring exercise because normally you are always walking around to the other side of the table. I believe I have shown you where ideal position on the black is - i.e. - between black and pink and off the cushion. If you try it that way and get it either right or nearly so then each black is a simple and soft top spin shot with no side to come off the top cushion on the other side of the black. However, I figure if you can do 100 of them you'll probably walk a few miles and wear out the carpet doing it!

Floyd beat Alain and Alan beat Cliff then announced he could not play as he got a call saying he had to go out of town Saturday. So Bob gets a bye. Sucks for Cliff as Alan **** the pink in the eighth game to tie it up. Then ran an 80 of the break in the decider.

Ok, there's the link to my video...

It's not the most stable of recordings as my little girl was holding the ipad and there's a part where she wants you all to see how pretty her outfit is instead of what's going on during my attempt...

The ball I miss at the end, from the angle you can't see how think a cut it is... Shame it rattled, coz I landed perfect.

I'll get a video up showing 100 soon enough.

P.S If you're wondering why the 90 isn't uploaded, I have to delete the previous video to make enough space on the ipad to film a new one.

                • Ok, I'll sort that out.

your hooked. thats good cus the rewards are exciting. you can play as many stuns off the back cush as you like. my record in 90 form one side of the table on high blacks.
note the angles the white is coming off the black and how offen the the sweet spots on the cb
I did have a couple of frames after with the boy and barely missed a thing... There's definitely a benefit to it... I just don't find it very enjoyable.

It would have been well received if it wasn't 06:15

                        • Two things I would like to ask, first there didn't seem to be many shots played with side, is that right? It's was a bit hard to tell. Second when you had to go in and out of Baulk and landed very high on the black what did you play to get back in controll, it only took you one more shot and you were ok again, when I get in this position it just gets worse and worse untill I miss lol.

Side is for rescuing position... The idea is never to need it...
If I land almost straight and elect to play the follow through off black and side cushions, that will be with a touch of side.
I have a lot of cuepower so I don't have to play with too much side.

Again, it's on occasion where cuepower and timing gets me out of trouble... it's just plain bottom, but I use my grip in a way that I know the cueball will arc...

On the one I rattled at the end, you can't see it coz Callie was watching the floor (lol) but I had the white on a sixpence from that one... Annoying.

LMAO.... my thoughts exactly. Pottr makes this game look so easy. I am going down now to do a video.

                              • I asked about the side as I don't really use it and I thought I would see it used a lot more on this type of exercise.
On the high black I will try playing it more positive, I have been trying bottom but more a drag type of shot trying to stop the cue ball coming too high again.
