    • well when i say what now im talking about goals, goals like maybe one day playing internationally for canada..
anyway you've got a lot going on, so you've cleared the lineup right?
how about doing this latest challenge rolling into the 6reds bellow the pink and clearing the table. you should be clearing that every day, maybe aim to clear it ten times then move to the next challenge

Always make that one careless shot and I'm out of position....then its 50/50, I either recover nicely or I fold the whole break and get really frustrated.

      • Les your potting doesn't seem to be a big problem, some of the pots in the last video shows it, especially off the cushions. your problem is shot selection and cueball control.

the first shot you took was a tough shot , i wouldn't have took that one.

overall you are getting better so keep at it.

Thanks Alabani, well I took that one just in case I got on a roll, I did not want to be left trying to get position on it. Yea position was not great as I am having concentration issues. All stems from hi sugar counts, I have a doc appointment tomorrow to sort out my sugar and also check out the X-rays and Ultra sounds on my shoulders and elbow. Hopefully I can get back on track.

          • The more times you do this challenge Les the better you'll get used to control and position the white. Great excercise these are to familiarise the area you're playing in.
Once you've done it a few times add extra reds etc etc and IMO keep doing this for a good while, I keep seeing different challenges arise everywhere when people are struggling to complete the lesser Challenges so keep to this one and don't move on until you've completed it a few times and youll be surprised how much you'll learn about controlling the cueball.

BTW Les there is no magical cure in snooker as you know, you can listen to every poster on here hour after hour about how to hit the cueball what you're doing wrong etc etc etc but you as a player like many of us youll have to find your own 2 feet and this will be you only who'll do this no one else .

Yea hopefully one day Ill be good enough to compete, would love to represent Canada one day...seems like all the pro players are an endangered species down here now. Canada is in need of a huge snooker reformation.

I think I'm pretty comfortable with the line up now, always looking for new drills and routines so will give yours a shot. You give really solid advice, cheers.

              • Hi to all my TSF friends. I was into see the Doctor today to get my results on my Xrays and Ultra Sounds. It is not good as my elbow is full of brectieds along with tendonides and bad muscle damage to the point it is not replaceable. Next was my shoulders, yikes as my Doc said. Basically the muscles and tendons are just hanging causing severe discomfort. He is setting up an appointment with a surgoen that will decide what they are going to do but my doc says surgery is going to be a must. The down side for now is no golf and no heavy work and I am sure he would have said no Snooker but I did not ask him about Snooker....LOL so I will keep taking my anti inflammatory pills and keep practicing for now. I start physio therapy next week.

Yes in the mean time I will continue to work on my challenges. I took today off but hope to find some time during the day tomorrow. I will get a couple good games in tomorrow night. I have a good friend who also played on the World Snooker Tour and his wife coming for a visit.

                          • i tried this the other day for the first time and had 2blues, 4pinks and all the colors. okay routine but you do need all the shots to clear it, and id say you should run into the reds from the left and right side of the table as you start or after breaking down.
if you can clear this then you'd wanna be doing structured routines where your opening 3-6 reds below the pink, along with some in shots
                            enjoy

Yes this is a great challenge. I have to say that Ted has done a great job with challenges as they have all worked up to this point. I know for guys like Yourself the first few did not mean much but they have helped me.

Will work even more Les if you actually complete the challenges, this way it would gain your confidence which you can build from.
