It's your positional play that lets you down Les, practising on your own you can pot yourself out of trouble but in a match with a bit more tension in the body it's easy to missIt's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

i tried the latest challenge today, had a few 5 reds and colours couldn't get the last one due to it either being near a cushion or just not getting on it right, in fact my positional play was off a bit.
i replaced my tip the other day and i don't think its right yet. i got very close to getting the last red on my last attempt, it was just 2-3 inches off the side cushion a foot or so above the blue. i landed on the black a bit too low, but tried to get in behind it the angle probably wasn't there and ended up hitting it and putting it on the cushion. in hing sight i should have hit it a bit firmer to knock it away.
anyway tried a cross double, which i nearly got hit the middle pocket jaw , was good on the blue too so maybe i could have had a clearance. ill give it another go later in the week if i get a chance.

I have laid low the last two days but will be on my table tomorrow morning working on the challenge. Probably been good for me to have a little break.Last edited by lesedwards; 15 March 2015, 04:44 AM." Practice to improve not just to waste time "

I personally think you should stick to this challenge and familiarise yourselves with scattered reds which is always going to come up in game play then eventually add more reds and even learn to split the pack.
With confidence playing a key role in snooker you pair need to start completing these challenges sooner rather then later and if you're both struggling still at Xmas you will have to question yourselves what you want out of the game.

Alabadi:
As I said in the explanation to this challenge, you only need to gently bump into the reds with the first shot. Don't go mad or you'll knock them by cushions like you're doing. If you go in gently, you'll normally find they'll all pot if you take them in the right order. Even if they don't pot, I'd rather play a gentle cannon later, than try and fetch balls off the cushion. Hope that helps a bit, good luck.WPBSA Level 2 - 1st4Sport Coach

I really feel no matter how much I practice if I don't get the matches in to gain confidence I am going no where. Last match was the 28th of Feb 5 games. Pissed with this game and living miles from civilization.
