I think in this thread the most important point has almost been missed. On the cloths the top guys play on and the new balls which react way more than much older club balls, the majority of the top players can get that much screw on the ball. The clever bit however is keeping the accuracy at the same time as generating the power and spin !

It's not exactly a shot you need though is it? Occasionally I can apply as a shot to nothing I guess...

I've just always been able to max out the cue power stat, not something I practiced much... Just timing and not snatching I reckon.

I've played on that table, and I'm impressed that you managed to do that.

It may not be a shot you need, but it's a great shot to play, wish I could do it.

I think it's more important to be able to screw back one foot from any distance than to get back into baulk, but that's maybe because it's as far as I can hope for over that distance.

                            Cheating. Too much head movement

Cue Power Plus - Bill Werbeniuk's power draw was as good as it gets

This is going back like 30 years or more before Bill Werbeniuk was banned from using Inderal (propranolol) to quell is tremor. One of Bill "hustle" shots was to hang the cue ball in the jaws of the corner pocket (the edge to the cue ball hanging well over the drop), pot the blue off the spot and draw back into the corner. The most I ever saw him make it (bet was on minimum of 5 out of 10 to win) was 5 in 7 attempts thus winning the bet. Longest I saw him make it from the jaws and draw back scratch was in line with the blue spot and opposite the pink spot. This was after Bill making the first attempt potting the blue from its spot and drawing back into the corner. The guy loosing the bet was whining that it was just "too easy" so Bill added 3+' to the pot for 4 to 1 on the money and potted the blue and drew back into the corner for the cash. Unreal shot.

How to make long distance deep screw like Judd Trump?

saw one of Ali carter on you tube where he had to dig down on the cue ball from the bottom cushion, pots a red near the black spot and screws back into baulk. It is definately easier on the tv tables but even so not all the pros can do the deep screw and keep it accurate. Trump seems to have a high success rate and doesn't move his body on the shot like most other professionals and amateurs.
