Trump seems to have a high success rate and doesn't move his body on the shot like most other professionals and amateurs.
Depends on the shot, ive seen plenty where he pops up or throws his cue through the shot. This video has quite a few shots where he does it.

There's no doubt the pro conditions make those kind of shots much easier, I've not played on that kind of setup but i know people who have and according to them "its a different game" with regards to reaction on the white and how easy it is to split up the reds as opposed to the same shots on a club table. Personally i think its the commentators "bigging up" players with "cue power", some of the shots that they're orgasming about I've done on club level tables yet on far faster tables they making some kind of big deal about it.

A good screw back is made of max acceleration and a tight grip
mind control > body control > cue control > ball control

If you want to send the white leaping into the air maybe A relaxed grip would be more like it, any clinching of the grip while putting a lot of power into the white down low would likely end up in scooping it.

Yes, you need a nice loose and relaxed grip.

Parrott had good cue power and was known for having a 'tight' grip - generally though a more relaxed grip and timing are the key

You can't play that shot with a tight grip... I'm sorry, but there is no room for opinion on that... If the grip is tight, the cue goes up... that's basic fundamentals.

John Parrot had a punchy action which meant he would tighten the cue quicker than others... He didn't have a tighter grip.

I think the trick is to stand just so, cue just right, stay still and loose and practice for about ten years.

Parrott did have a tighter grip than a lot of other professionals but generally a loose grip is best. Too tight and the cue won't be able to go back and forth s and accelerate into the white. A tight grip leads to tension.

narl. agree that sometimes judd does lift up but some of these are exhibition shots when frame is won and others are when he just can't stop himself. However personally i think he does keep still on the majority especially when you consider how much spin he is getting. look at 12 minutes in

doh!, I was thinking the same anyway.

I'm lucky if I get a foot or so, I obviously don't have the cue power I thought I did.
