As the saying goes 'I'm not the man I once was but I am the man I was once'. My record, such that it is, speaks for itself and Alba, I am a good coach and every once in awhile I have a good day. It was my bad luck to have one bad match (which I won by the way) streamed from the Canadians where I went on to lose in the semi-finals to the eventual winner, Alan Whitfield.

When your record matches mine then perhaps you can criticize my playing ability but until then please keep the negative comments to yourself. My coaching ability has nothing to do with my playing ability as it is now.

And for J6...Jason could you please translate that comment of yours. I can't make head nor tails out of it.

Well Terry you and LB were just wearing my patience thin TBH. You are as keen as mustered for the old snooker i'll give you that tel. You love it and play loads that is great but shooting other people down who have more of an understanding of the game than you do thus are better at playing it also but you still persevere in telling them how they are wrong and you are right and LB is like your apprentice in following suit. I can't remember what ex football player i seen getting interviewed recently and he was asked about if he was going to get his coaching badges and he laughed and says no chance. His answer was relevant here in that he says why go and have some person who has never played at the top level in the sport I.E ton break players or coached at the top level in the sport have me read from books that some other non pro has wrote on how things should be done when i have been there first hand and know how things are done. If you were a max player or even a ton player in fact then you would still be playing to a decent standard given the amount you play and you are still fit But you are struggling to make a break of 20 and your cue action is a sight for sore eyes then i see you jaring Les about his and saying you need to do this or that. His cue action is no worse than yours so why not fix your own? Les needs to stop letting you fill his head up with your theories if he wan't to improve in my opinion but hey what do i know eh i'm not a master coach who has mastered coaching. It just grinds my gears as people who are not so good at snooker are on looking for help and some people who claim to be coaches are no better than the people who are asking the questions for them to tell 100 break players who are trying to help they are wrong. Your both not pulling the wool over my peepers is basically what i'm saying.

Hi all...hope everyone can practise patience and tolerance for one another. No point shooting others off as they are also taking time and effort to help others. This forum is good and helpful and has a reputation worldwide so lets continue to upkeep it to be the best without all these bantering. After all, people do have the certificates to prove their credentials from the relevant authorities unless we accept that the governing bodies are crap. My sincere apologies if i have offended anyone in anyway.
