No you're not, I'M OLD! older than Mick in fact by about 20yrs I think so tell him to get his ass in gear and start playing again. Then you can run a 147 against him to bring back fond memories.

I believe I corrected that. I don't believe I had a 147 against Bob but rather it was Frank Cavaliere in a money match at the Top Spot in Glenfield where I was the house pro (but not really a pro). Thirty years ago so I have a valid excuse

                  • A lorry carrying snooker equipment crashed on the M6 earlier today. Apparently the cues went back for miles...
Police said the driver was under a rest...

If we are telling snooker jokes there is mine

It is impossible for a relative beginner club player who has never hit a ball with side in his life to leave himself such accurate position 14 times in a row.
I agree, but would like to note that it would also be impossible with side. I think that beginners not using side builds there memory of the white ball path after potting ball, using draw, stun and follow only for shape builds a strong foundation to work with, this will help him to make an educated decision when decision is made that siding is essential. Cheers,

I agree, I think if you look at all the options that side is only needed in a small amount of total shots but we all like to show off... lol

if you are always striking the cue ball somewhere other than centre I would say you are doing it for effect not need and might gain from not using it where not needed but each to their own, bottom line is you need to understand it and how to play it to get past basic level but as a rule it is easier to play without tan with, anything that complicates something makes it harder

                              turned into a weird thread
im with you on all points, especially about the thread..
