There are ways he might have validated this of course - sending newspaper clippings in to the Canadian Snooker Association - or maybe they spoke with one of the other guys Terry made his other max's against - one was murdered but are the other two all no longer with us
They could have asked them.

You seem to be more concerned with my 147 breaks than I am. I have never counted them as my 'official' high break because they were in practice frames with 2 being in solo practice and just the 1 against an opponent, who as you've said is no longer around.
My high break in a match is a 138 clearance. If you check out my stats with the IBSF Champs you will see I claim a high practice break of 147 and my high match break as 138. I do not claim any breaks which I do in practice (for instance I had a 142 here a month ago or so but playing by myself, so I haven't mentioned it previously) and every one of my match centuries were done 30yrs ago both in the UK and Canada.
Here I have perfect practice conditions with a super fast table but my OPINION is you should only judge a player by what he does in actual tournaments because that's where the pressure is. You have never mentioned your tournament performance so I figure you don't play in any and probably practice under the same conditions all the time as you haven't even mentioned whether you play in a league or not.
If you really want to get a true idea of your abilities then enter some non-handicapped tournaments where you are playing under completely different conditions and against good opponents as to my mind that is the real acid test.
Also, issuing a challenge to a player who is 5,000 miles away and who is 30yrs past his best is really a non-starter, isn't it? Now if you want to come to my facility for a bit of practice and maybe some coaching by all means feel free. I can even offer you my spare room but you'll have to buy your own food and drink.
By the way, the 'I'm never ****ing wrong' statement I made was a joke used in the Navy and was not meant as anything else. You should have read my post more carefully and you would have understood that as I referred to Chief Petty Officers, which I never was...us officers never used the term nor that language when talking to junior ranks as we would find ourselves in front of the XO or Captain explaining ourselves and getting awarded extra duties.Terry Davidson

I don't feel any obligation to prove to anybody the truth of my assertions. How many amateur players have proof of their accomplishments?
So all the naysayers can go pound sand. When they have a tournament record then put it up here or put a video up, as I have.Terry Davidson

I do think it is a good accomplishment that you play the game give out some great advice enter tournaments and make a few bob from your coaching. We are more lucky over here in the UK - there are great players over here everywhere - getting an education on snooker in the UK can come from a coach at a reasonable rate or from a ton man or good player at a price of the table lights a few pints and a pie - I bought a lot of pies and paid for a lot of table lights but it was all worth it. Maybe at the higher level you might speak to someone who has some extensive knowledge of the game or the psychology of it with the insight to understand how you tick so as to help you with your mindset - good advice is good advice no matter what the source or level of the player. Herein lays my argument - hang me out to dry for having that opinion if you like - I don't care.
We all have faults Terry - I am a cynic and you come across a bit brash and it was only after seeing a video of you playing and being coached that I thought - hang on 147 pull the other one. Being brash - maybe that's a navy thing - I will draw a line under it now - we have both misunderstood a few things we have said I think.
Now throw darts at me all you want Tel - rivalries spice up the debate on here and keep me interested - its all good banter and I sit here waiting to be hit by your next dart

My guess would be you'd say I must have had an easy draw to accomplish that because I have such a crappy technique.
There were a lot of good players around in the 80's in the UK and I held my own against them and managed to grab a few pro-am wins here and there and a county championship and a league singles along the way. If I was such crap how was this possible?
I have the feeling even if I had articles and videos you would say I forged the articles and edited the video because you are calling me a liar and saying that's because you are a cynic who doesn't believe anything without actually seeing it yourself. I guess you also deny man landing on the moon as any good cynic would.
When I present a coaching tip on here or disagree with what you are saying why do you immediately go into your attack mode and denigrate anything and everything I've ever said and call me a liar? There is no point in me telling lies.Terry Davidson

What is your understanding of this..."because again that is not true is it Terry - bit like your max making.
That is a copy/paste from one of your posts. Doesn't 'not true' = a lie?
And yes - I didn't have sexual relations with that woman but it depends on what your definition of 'is' is (and does oral sex count?)Terry Davidson
