Ok - I have decided to leave you to it Tel - the floor is all yours - Nice forum some great debate met some nice people learnt a lot of stuff and bought some good pieces of kit and it has been fun but time to stop tapping away for a while I think because its starting to test my patience and I am quite chilled - will pop back sometime - so take care all.

My regards to everyone for making me smile - still getting on with playing some real snooker and work and stuff I liked trying to motivate and help out but shoot me down for not buying into one or two of our Canadian friends.

I don't believe everything I read - not to say it cant have some rewards - but certain stuff did mash my head.

I would be really interested in seeing that video and recalling my glory days, such as they were.

As far as I know I have never said (or typed) anything negative to Alba (except in response to his below the belt stuff) and I have no idea what caused him to go off on me. I see he hails from Glasgow and I lived there for awhile in late 84 and early 85 and I played many of the good players there including a challenge match with Jim Donnelly and practiced with Jimmy McNellan, John and Guilio Ray, Ken MacIntosh and even Eddie Sinclair used to come into Reardon's every once in awhile to play with us. I also remember a very young John Higgins coming into Reardon's with a couple of his mates, all with cue cases taller than they were. I also played in Edinburgh against players like Murdo MacLeod and some others I can't remember all the names. I even played Stephen Hendry when he was Scottish Amateur Champ before he turned pro in Kirkaldy (sp?), although I lost that one 3-1 I believe.

Maybe Alba was around in those days and I took him to the cleaners or something That's the problem with the internet, some people prefer to stay hidden behind an alias and take pot shots at everyone.

Thanks. I appreciate that comment Jason. I'm not much of a threat to the top Canadian players these days but every once in awhile I get my crap together for a match or two and pull off a surprise.

I know guys who had stopped playing for years and came back and were still playing decent and they never had a snooker table in there basement nor played everyday. Terry does and he can't string a break over 25 and his cue call control is all over the shop and preaches about cue actions pauses,smooth this and that. Have you seen his cue action? He has none of what he is preaching. He would have your eye out if you stood close enough. I don' believe for a second he has had breaks that he says he's had so if you don't like my views pottr tough. It's a public forum and people are always going to disagree. Below the belt is someone trying to say they have done this or that to add more weight to there coaching credentials.

alba you might wanna check out some of terrys work on the way to the semis in the canadian champs.. as for the info you could look back through the coaching section and see hes written a lot of good stuff
