Marco Fu plays with essentially what is a controlled jab and does very well in the balls with it. He lacks cue power but that's his game and his latest 147 shows that not everyone needs loads of follow through. I think a controlled jab, which is a short follow through but done smoothly, is a useful shot to have. There are times when we have to bridge over and don't want to go too far with the cue and foul the white ball or when we are very close to the object ball or when we're on the cushion. All require shorter cueing or smooth jabbing if you will.
