  • Snooker coaching in Scunthorpe??

Although I live in Suffolk I quite regularly visit Scunthorpe on business and spend many a dull night in hotel bars etc. So this has got me thinking - what if there is a decent club in Scunthorpe so I could spend me lonely evenings practicing. And even better - what if there was a decent coach in Scunthorpe too!?

So I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone might happen to know of any pros coaching in the Scunthorpe area at all?

    Thanks!

Dont know of any coaches , but " pete147 " on the forum lives in the area and has a good club , so he might be able to advise. " les147 " is also in Lincolnshire so may also be able to help.

That's very helpful mate thank you for posting! I see you're in Stoke! Do you ever go to the Player's Lounge club?

I play out of The Plaza , Tuesday Afford League , Premier Division but I am also a member of Players ( I have known Gareth since he was about 7 and Lee when he was 14 ) and I am great friends with Gommy up Green Baize and I have played matches in Crompos , so yes I get around . If you check my postings on the " Pool " section you will see some names of " pub players " I go up against . Good luck in your search , Pete is friends with Jeff Cundy so between him and Les you should be able to source a venue for when you visit . Small world , you live in Suffolk and I was born in Halesworth and lived in Dunwich.

Wow yeah it is a small world! I know Gaz quite well because I am good friends with his other half Angie's bothers and sister. So he's in Ipswich quite a lot. Top lad, and phenomenal pool player! Actually in my profile pic, that's Gareth's arm in the background! Useless fact of the day!!

Thanks again for commenting on my thread - much-appreciated!

Not a bad snooker player either , top break of 144 last time I asked him . I believe Mark even suggested once that he would be good enough for a tour card , then again you dont win 5 x World titles if you dont know one end of your stick from the other . Sometimes I wish he wouldnt play in local leagues with people like Lee , Adam Davis , Neil Raybone etc , etc , still it keeps you sharp knowing you are playing against the " big boys " in local leagues and if you win , great boost .
