I have. It took me about one and a half years to achieve my first 50+ break. Short after that I have only been playing frames without ever practising for three years. I have my own table now for 20 months and managed to improve my highest break to 81 due to practising more or less properly. So hopefully the first century will come soon...

I was introduced to snooker during my late teens and was in and out of love with it for a number of years before finally realising I was quite hopeless at it. Am still.

Took me like the better of 3 years (??) to fluke a half century and I didn't even know what I was doing with the cue ball then when I made it.

Funnily, my cue ball control is much better now but I can't even come close to 50. I either become too nervous whenever I get to 30s or 40s and know a big one is there for the taking or miss straightforward pots due to complacency. The number of easy chances I've missed over the years is just criminal.

So kudos to you century break builders. You have to have such good technique, be mentally resilient, and I believe, possess a natural talent to play the game in order to hit a ton... :snooker:

so its looking like a couple years it a reasonable mark to set for the first century, im going to start upping my practice time and see what can be achieved in the 12 months i set myself originally

vmax got it right. One 50, or consistent 50's. Consistent 50's is good.
