Hi Pottr. POT RED FROM THE BREAK...FIRST TAKE...BREAK OF 13! DONE!!! Just need to upload to youtube when I get home.
I'm honestly quite astounded that I managed it first go. Especially with the size of these pockets. The cloth is excellent though.

    Happy Days! :snooker:

What would be the normal success rate for making a red from the break? I'm guessing it's not even near 50% or else everyone would be doing it.

Not sure Terry, I did it against Mark Selby at our presentation night and he had a max... I wouldn't advise it!

Terry! Please hold judgment until I have had time to upload the video. Its not what you expect.

If this is back break, the success rate is about 1/10 into the left middle or right middle. A practice friend plays the middle back red with lots of left hand side and it works a treat on a tight rack.

Well I did it again before I left yesterday, but the success rate is more about where the cue ball comes to rest. The red is a bonus!

I've been trying this when I go to my club. Been close a few times and potted off the break once so far, usually get a good cue ball and a nice split to open the game up. Cheers mate.

No problem mate. The feeling you get when you see the red drop is amazing! Glad to share. I was shown this by a fellow player a while ago so I'm just spreading the gospel so to speak. I can't take credit for something that isn't mine.
                          Glad you like it!

Yeah, but we like this guy's ability and IMO he can improve further, so it's positive criticism and meant with good will. And he's tough enough to take it on board anyway. He's done some of my drills, so I know he's the real deal. There are some good players on here.
