Nice one. Don't forget the pot off the break as well lol. Showed it my mate and the jammy so and so potted back to back frames where he broke off. I've still only done it once.

      • I've decided that one's impossible and it's all a big conspiracy against me

I have jawed it and I've left it over... Still not dropped for me yet.

Just got back from playing at Goldencue, played on one of the tight tables and got my second pot off the break. Turning in to my standard break off now lol.

am I right in thinking its the second red down the pack and played with usual right hand side (right handed player)?

tried this the other night and got nowhere near the bag on about 4 attempts

Yeah, second red down with just a touch of right hand side, not as much as the standard break.

Haha trust me Terry I know its in bad shape, But the cloth is just so old and worn that I stopped bothering. You can brush it for hours and still not get all the dust and chalk off. Im actually going to change the cloth soon or possibly sell the table and buy a steel block in the near future so until then ill have to make it work.

Haha cheers mate but definitely not there yet, a couple of loose shots and loss of positioning that I still need to refine!

Mick Price used to have a similar routine. Only he would start with 15 and remove a red each time... I'll have to ask him next time I see him but I think once he actually got all the way down to 1 red before he missed!
I mean uh yes it was definitely an intentional cannon! Simple angle off 3 cushions really And thats a cool variation, I think I got this one from Stephen Hendry in some break building tip video.

                    • practise drills

Not solo practised for a while but did two lineups the other day. 5 reds beneath the black(always). As maximum attempts too. Had 136 missed a dodgy pink to middle having hashed position from blue. Then I had 146, had to take pink with last red.
Oh and I had a shock too! I did my pot red break off from the yellow side, but I placed the cue ball near to the brown. Believe it or not the red went in this time in the right corner! It was like slow motion! It was mad!!!
Will try and capture one at some point although I get the impression its not as successful as the other one!
                      Cheap and Cheerful! 😄

Played your attempted pot off break today against a bloke at club. Tossed for break he won and put me in, he hates breaking off, I said to him I'm gonna try pot off the break. Explained the shot, got down and played it perfect, potted corner red and bought cue ball back to near green. Exactly how I explained to him, now he thinks I do it all the time lol.

                          • Played a lad today , told him about this break, played it, never got anywhere near the pot but the white goes behind the green, he knocked in a long red and ended up with 13 reds twelve blacks , the closest I've seen to a 147, I think he quite liked the break lol.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Don't think it's the right break to play against someone that can do that to you. You must be playing some top class players. Should help your game no end.
