    Sidd:

Something for you to think about. The reason you need to use such a long cue is because you have longer arms and also because you keep your bridge arm straight. You said you have to keep it straight because you need to in order to get your shoulder/armpit down to the table but that is not correct. You can get your right shoulder down with the bridge arm bent as that totally depends on how much you bend your right leg.

Players who have their bridge arm bent slightly will get more stability as the bridge forearm will be down on the table from elbow to bridge and this really helps the stability on the bridge side. Also keeping the bridge arm locked straight will encourage pain in your right shoulder over time.

okay well with this cue the last time i was in form i was kinda doing it all really with little effort, my long an short game were as good as ever. wish i had a really nice player to throw it at but i was only all over a 50breaker..
hay man it would be really good if you could put a little video together of you knocking a few balls in with your 62 cue, any chance? not just to see you in action but to give out the long cue beniffits

            Thanks Coach.

So this clearly explains my bridge arm shoulder tendinitis. I shall try to learn to keep it a bit relax and slightly very slightly bent for comfort. But keeping it straight also helps me locking the cue in chest , or perhaps this is how I feel. Anyway, I will try to bend my right leg a bit more and see how it goes.

I also noticed something funny yesterday On some shots I was playing with my pal's cue (my old 60 inches) it seemed as even that cue is short hahaha now that is clearly not the case.. does that indicate I am perhaps standing a bit too far from the table ? Should I move a few inches closer and then drop down ? Also even with my 60 inches my grip arm was still a bit inside of vertical or forward, and when I kept it on vertical I felt cue shortening from V to tip. I personally think this is because I am standing a bit too far ?

I think if I move a bit closer to table, bend my bridge arm a bit I shall naturally drop down with bridge arm vertical, which is not the case right now even with a 60 inches cue.

            How do you suggest?

You would have to post a video again I think. You might be standing too far from the cueball but there is no way to know for certain. I would suggest you put a light pencil mark on your shaft maybe at 11in or so (29cm) and bend your bridge arm slightly so the elbow is firmly on the table and have a friend check and see where the vertical position is. With a 60in cue you should have no problem at all and I would say perhaps an inch of butt out the back of your grip hand.

Sidd, 58 inches is just about 147 centimetres. Try to resist that number.

You mean zero PTCs and whole 2 proam's in my entire snooker hobby career? Yes, I've shaken hands with a few top pro players. Shame I had to wash them soon after, otherwise I may have kept some of their skill.
I know 58 inches is roughly 147 centimetres just because I only use SI measurement system in real life.
