I do think that Sidd plays the game to an ok standard if you consider his actual dedication to the game. Several players per table, lots of waiting time. And he makes a few 20s or 30s still? Brand new cue? Without putting any solo work in? I would call that very very good for a casual player. Let's be realistic.

OK Guys thanks for your concern.
Lets let the truth out. First things first, Vmax is absolutely right, not doing BOB is my main problem and also not doing solo, agreed. Rest is all fine now with the proper cue I have, I can play well. Very well indeed. I have invested so much time playing matches and thinking about technique and ruining myself. However, I have learnt how a good snooker player disciplines himself and I am trying my best at it.
Yes I play in a club which is nearer to my home. If things were to me I would have played snooker whole day. But I have a family to look after you see small kids and all that I am not on job I am in fact running my own organisation so that takes a lot of time and effort real tough effort. With all of that what I am doing at the table or finding the time that I have force myself to explain a lot of what snooker is to me. When I am playing at my standard I can take on anything and have made many 40 odd breaks and even a few 50ies of which I am proud.
My work routine is like 9 to 5 - I play snooker 2-3 hours a day and then have to be with family. I don't go daily but say 4-5 times a week. With this routine what I have achieved is precious for me. I treasure it and will try my best to improve.
I dream oh yes I doI am a writer after all and writers are artists and artists are dreamers
I have now decided to quit trying to be a robot or a tech machine and be an artist on the snooker table too
With the experience I have and the things I have learnt I can be a good player. I am not after improving maybe but after consistency which BOB focus will give me so I shall be contented.
Call me an enthusiast rather than a player I don't mind, yes I have to focus on my writing too I love it as much as I love my snooker. I have started to write again and am working on my novel and will be finishing two chapters by next month. I am happy with that !
Last but not the least, I will only work on a couple of things if I get time for solo if not I shall keep my discipline and try to progress. My aspiration is to play better and consistent and play a local tournament and see how that goes.
I am focusing on keeping a consistent cue action and finding and focusing on BOB as that is where my biggest weakness lies.
I am too bad for a serious dedicated player hmmmm maybe yes but I am too good for a casual recreational player who happens to love this game a lot !

People please................ no more advice for Sidd, however well intentioned he doesn't need it, he can play this game to a very good standard and now needs to be left alone to bury all those negative thoughts and focus only on the one thing that's holding him back."I am still endeavouring to meet someone funnier than my life" - Q. Without coaching without solo practice as such. Not saying that to defend myself at all I mean there is no substitute to practice no doubt about that. But still, not that bad as well.
What I have learnt and cemented in to my technique so far is not that bad I think as I can cue through the white with ease.
Yes I have learnt many things about the grip and have finally made it the way I like and I can stick to it under pressure with confidence and also I used to play just like anyone else without knowledge however Terry has given me true guidance on my pre-shot routine which is now what I do on EVERY shot and with the new longer cue my cue action suits me ... the only thing left now is to focus on BOB all the time while taking shots without having thoughts in mind and finding time for solo if I can.
This will lead me towards improvement, enjoyment, satisfaction even in my low days and I can move on with that !
I might be concerned about the fine aspects of technique once I make a few 70ies and perhaps an 80 breakuntil then my target it to play consistently and remain focused with discipline.
