Regarding this training aid, it is of course a nice twist on an old training method. Of course anyone can make a version themselves easily enough. But I admire a man willing to make a "commercial" version and put it out there.
When I was first learning I was told to take a piece of paper and use it to practice getting position. Then someone turned that idea into Target Pool and sold a bunch of sets.
And heaven knows the amount of ghost ball trainers out there. I think that in the billiard (and snooker) industry there is no shortage of well-meaning small entrepreneurs/inventors who create these devices not to get rich but only out a desire to see people improve as players. Of course they don't want to go broke either but I rarely see any of these that are blockbuster hits selling millions of units.
Context: Been in the billiard industry for 30 years, since I was 17 and that's true. :-)
