Phillthepockets, is that a club in Canada?
is the first time I hear about a cue (piece of wood) , which can make a decision for a human an tell him what to do . impressive !!

      • Is there a link to any science on how tightly cue is gripped? This surely changes the weight transfer. Judds specials in slow mo, the grip is so light at impact the cue bounces off all over the place....

phil just bring the red further away from the pocket a tad

And............you followed through on the shot over the hole, because you needed to!

So all in all, you've failed to deliver what you promised.
Maybe the pot is easier barry but adding the extra distance as we all know you have to play with even more spin and that was what the topic has moved towards. Only you keep mentioning the Trump shot. We have all seen Murphy and Robertson play similar shots to Trump, no idea why you named it the Trump shot.

Give the guy some credit, he's played 2 fantastic screw shots and if you check his other YouTube video he's got a ton on film. Can't think of his name but there was a guy on here that said he could screw back 24 foot and then posted a really poor video showing a strange looking shot. I think he left in embarrassment.

You are spot on. A firmer grip leads to a more stable shot which is great in the balls and for medium rangers. It's also great for stun and run throughs. But there is a power loss for extreme spin shots and allegedly an accuracy loss for high tariff pots. That's why Ronnie has adopted the looser grip of Judd and Robbo.

I know the one. He also set a routine for people to try that was so tricky a 4x maxi player couldn't complete. And then myself and others posted videos of doing it easily!

He said he could play the Trump shot and I explained to him the ball positions. Then he posts an old video of a screw pot with the ball over the bag. I said 'nice screw' but it's not the Trump shot you promised on video. And it's not. As I said, the red is six inches down from the middle bag and a few inches off the cushion, the CB in baulk. He also failed to play the shot without follow through, which he said is irrelevant. So let's see him play the Trump shot requested without follow through. Wrong answer to the right question I'm afraid. And without screw the CB won't reach the green, so yes, it's a screw shot!

did the same person put up a video of a "screw back" shot that was actually a 1/2(?) ball type and not a straightish screw back, and when the cue ball went out of view (baulk area), it came back faster suspiciously like someone off camera had pushed it?
                      Up the TSF! :snooker:

That's the one, I thought before watching it fair play for sticking a video up but watching it I was disappointed. So much so that it gave me a good laugh.

Barry, maybe before issuing these challenges for members to put videos up you should post some videos of yourself completing all the shots. We all have opinions on here but you seem to think yours is the only one that counts.
