  • Those Trump shots down the cushion are wonderful pots.

But they're not what I would say highlights how well he can screw the ball back.

The side taking from the cushion is where most of the effect is generated.

I'll give you that. When the ball is half way down the cushion, a wee bit off and he uses reverse side and screw. Yep, that's the daddy.

Phil, have you ever played Terry Davidson who's on here? He runs tournaments in Ontario or is that miles away from where you are based?

Yeah, I think that is classed as miles away lol. Enjoyed watching your three videos, you can certainly generate plenty of action on the cue ball and make it look easy.

The problem with making the power stroke is avoiding tightening the grip too much but also not throwing the cue past table 16, but you need to keep the grip/wrist relaxed enough to avoid the tip rising at contact or pulling the cue off line. You'er letting the cue do the work.

On fast heated tables with new No10 it is not that hard, the common issue is not striking where you think, try some shots looking at the cue ball and see the reaction you get when you really do hit down low.

Phillthepockets, is that a club in Canada?
                      Yes that club was here

                              • Sorry to swamp this thread but I got distracted before lol. I couldn't get anywhere near this shot, but it did show up a lot of flaws in my cueing at pace over that distance, the best I could do with any type of accuracy was red between blue and pink spot( a bit nearer the blue) and cue ball back to baulk, waste of time even mentioning anything further away.
Club balls, club cloth , dirty table , not brushed blocked or ironed.
                                Cheers GG.
