The available opening changes, that's why you can't pot a ball into the middle pocket while you're tight against the cushion on that side, it's impossible without playing a double. Therefore in some situations, the available pocket (which is what's important) is not bigger than the ball.

Then why does he say he could be wrong ?

Why are you so certain when he isn't ? Has what he says helped you in your game ? or is it simply finding a stick to bash me with seeing as I slate modern education that you're such a part of, and Parris cue buyers who have no intent to use them: it's fictitious BTW.

Oh and if members can post videos and swear verbally, put up a video and have a real go, no holds barred, go on, you know you want to.

To be fair Vmax this was a private video Pottr made for me, originally it wasn't going to be public and it wasn't. Pottr and I were having a PM discussion and one on the boards and he thought it would be easier to explain it in a video, if you look there are many points covered not just about the eyes. The only reason it was posted up is because there were quite a lot of requests to Pottr to be alowed to see it. It's not directed against anyone or anyone else's views , it's Pottrs views and he was just trying to help me understand what he meant, you know yourself it's sometimes very hard to explain over the net what you mean.
He was also kind enough to go through my cueing technique and pointed out a few really helpful things which I'm trying out now.

is that what he does ?
              impressive !!
There are many of that kind of videos on youtube.
not saying it's a bad vid.
just wonder, what are you trying to prove here ?

post links to videos that say what he says so succinctly and in such a no nonsense manner. Please, do so.

And I need to prove nothing. Pottr says everything in the video.

                Thanks xx

Watched it the other day and couldn't stop laughing, thought it was great and should be given the title 'angry snooker coach has had enough'
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

the bit around 7:00 when he has the 'simple concept' rant was pure class.

he's just spot on. cant say much more than that,

(now waiting for Razor Ramon to misunderstand what I've just typed AGAIN and ask another nonsensical question)

                      fair enough .

This video was already posted on other thread. If you want to show it again, that's fine.
But useing this video to talk about other members and vmax and insult them, was'nt a part of thread. did i miss sumthing ?
That's why i asked, what re you trying to prove here.
I know Vmax here on this forum and I read his posts for almost 2.5 years. his knowledge about this game is better than some of the best snooker coaches.
you may not agree with that. that's fine to know.
stay on the topic please so we can learn something here.

Great video!! Wish my dad had shown me the basics many moons ago.

Anyway, my 3 favourite quotes of this video:

                        1. "Right now, that's a straight shot. OK. You shouldn't be missing that. But all you are ever trying to do, even on an angle, is push the pissin' cue through straight."

                        2. "Fookin bollocks, they obviously just are not pushing the cue through straight. Doesn't matter if you got no eyes."

                        3. "he's come on leaps and bounds since I started pasting him, the little *******. Right, anyway, so what does AF lock mean?

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Awesome video mate. Thoroughly enjoyed that. This is why I have been improving at a rapid pace recently. I used to rush around the table, needing a wee or nearly home time. My fundamentals weren't being applied, it took too long.

Now that I've slowed down and concentrated on them, you're right. Most pots go in, without touching the sides

                            Nice one pottr

When he's talking about being able to move your elbow out what is he saying is correct? The first part where you can't move it or the second part where you can?
