Btw, my question was not related to his knowledge, but his judgments. Which is in this case , wrong .
Anyway, it Looks like he does'nt want to talk about it .
    It's his thread .

    • Looks like delicate screw shots to me, just enought to get the white to bite a bit and widen the angle

      • itsnoteasy,

Did that workout after a 3 hour session on friday for 10 minutes. Managed 4 loops, finished straight on the black, screwed it back and pot it to complete loop 4 but not near enough position on the yellow to then miss that yellow. Do the routine to improve cueing and cue power.

Been back playing for 7 month now after a 18 month break and the game is not going to bad. My practice hours a week are around 12, need to up that really.

Well for gods sake Ramon just tell us what ones you think have been played with side, just give a time reference on the video, all this is getting us nowhere unless you give us a clue to what shots your on about.

in these videos will explore some choice shots that i believe all improving snooker players should have down under the sack and ready to use when the pressure is on.

                    • I tried the fifty blacks the other day J, threw something up really interesting in my game. I started on the green side and managed twenty eight, which I was over the moon with to be honest, I mucked it up through concentration more than anything else, it's really hard to keep trying to play basically the same shot over and over.
Then I thought well I should be doing it from both sides of the table so tried it from the yellow side , I couldn't even do ten, eight was my best, it's not that I was missing ,I kept coming too wide near the Cush or too low, my control of the white from that side of the table was awful and it clicked with me ,anything I practice I kind of do from the green side of the table so no wonder it's better, it's amazing what flaws in your game a little routine like that can show up.

                      • a good workout is to do lineups from the yellow side for a right hander, just using the two/three green side pockets. try make a ton

                        • I'm left handed and struggle on the yellow side, not potting but I'm definitely not hitting the cue ball at the height I want consistently on that side, that sounds like a good routine thanks I will try that.

this brown was 1/3ish and was played a bit like a screw shot with a touch of left hand side say 8 oclock on the white.
i'm playing this for one red but there could be a full pack there and you may be playing for a few reds between pink and black, thats why i see this one shot as essential. off three cushions just missing the yellow will bring you right into the thickof things in the scoring zone

Funny you say that. From one lefty to another I was struggling with the same side until Cliff showed me a little secret. I usually miss left of the pocket meaning I cut the ball too much. He taught me to aim thick on any shot to the left. I also hit the cue ball with a touch of unintentional right hand side. On a dead straight pot Cliff has me hitting the cue ball about a half of tip of left hand side which actually ends up hitting Center ball. Like he says if you where 20 he would set a goal to fix it but at 52 we learn to play with it. Something like golf, I am sure you have seen professional golfers setup with ball aligned with the toe of the driver instead of dead Center.

J6 another awesome video. Really enjoying these. I ran into this exact shot last night but I hit it with too much bottoms and it just screwed down the wrong side of the table and not far enough.

I tried clearing the line up keeping the white on the yellow side, didn't do it ,or the ton but got close, a couple of 12 red attempts and a few more ten and eleven , I was very happy with that but it shows how you can get away with things doing the line up compared with having to play on one ball, I'm going to keep at this until I completely clear it, then do it on the green side, which should be easier.
It was quite funny when I looked at the table once I was finished ,all the chalk marks were in the bottom quarter and the green side and top half of the yellow side of the table was completely clean lol.
