ive always felt comforable with the middles, trick is to talk yourself into it and play it positive

I find your stuff immensely helpful. You are the most generous contributor here.

I give you credit some of the pots especially in that 3rd vid were , well lets say unconventional but they went in.
getting a bit close to the white a few times , I do that sometimes I have my tip only a few mm from the white and can on occasions touch.
I have to get up when I do that in practice.

Three things that kill my action, it's amazing how a little of each can make a huge difference.

I love those shots you hammer in the side pockets. I only dream of making shots in the sides. From my Pink spot you have to just miss the near jaw to make it. Wide by a 1/4 and the ither jaw spits it out.

Most tables are the same Les, playing with pace you got to hit the middle. No margin for error. Jason has a great cue action so makes it look easy.

i treat the middle like another corner pocket. you can play these shots on any table, just don't hold back on them and let your cue go

Just keep still on the shot and wallop that ghost ball, les.

Fair play to you J6, very natural play there and brave and honest vids. And thats just it, if we are all honest about our game then we will improve. When you read many post on here you are led to believe that loads are whacking in high breaks left and right and centre.

Good thread, along with the "using side" one too.

Yes I will second that one. Lots of guys running Tons or so they say but not many of them are posting videos. Now J6 is running 1/2 centuries in the blink of n eye. Great videos. I have uploaded videos of my 16 breaks..LOL and hope to be able to brag about makeing 1/2 centuries and upload videos them at some point.

Terry Davidson mentioned on another thread how much ahead the UK is with amateur snooker. You should check out some of the UK local leagues Les. The top division in West Midlands league is based on teams of 5 players playing 1 frame each. Currently there has been 13 centuries, 135 50+ breaks and a top break of 141.

Can't disagree with that. I live just outside Portsmouth and it seems a hive of activity up North, whether playing, collecting or making cues.

We are miles behind, we have some of the better players playing all the time and not one century this year. We had a Pro/AM a couple weeks ago which brought out Cliff Thorburn, Alain Robidoux, John White, Floyd Ziegler and a bunch of very good amature players and the high run and only century of 105 was made by Cliff 13 Blacks n extra red and the high break for the amateurs was 89. This was also on a Brunswick Anniversary with buckets for pockets.

                                blacks

ive been feeling unsteady on the shot for some time now so i thought id try and do 50 blacks into one pocket, just to see if i could concentrate on settling into the shot more
                                oh and no side
