That is great concentration, I have tried this into one pocket it's harder than what it looks, I have also tried swapping sides with every shot on and off the bottom Cush, that's hard as well .
Great stuff J, really enjoying these, also nice to see that drag come little deceleration shot when high on the black, not easy to play them with that control, well not for me any how lol.

      Great effort. Lovely to watch.
When cueball is too high, I don't undestand how you keep it from being too high on next shot? Without any side that is. I am certainly no side junkie, but whenever I try this shot without side, my cueball either ends up nearer pink spot or the black ball doesn't even reach the pocket!
Maybe your definition of side is different. Some people don't consider slight trace of side a true side shot. Or maybe the camera angle is deceiving and angles weren't that high.
In any case, what you present is great to watch.

Good stuff J6. Nice to see you fetch the black out each time as well. I like that.

Lots of people just keep putting reds back on the spot, save walking around the table.

Ah got you, I agree get the black out each time, it's not reds off the spot practice .

Exactly plus i think potting the black is psychologically harder than potting reds

this black is great for concentration and timing, and if you only got 30min to practice

yeah there were a few 1/3 shots. i may have ued a bit of side if it was my playing cue but with this i can't use side so there was none, i just relied on timing it and letting the cue do the work

it takes a bit longer, but it lets an old codger stretch his legs

ive been feeling unsteady on the shot for some time now so i thought id try and do 50 blacks into one pocket, just to see if i could concentrate on settling into the shot more
                    oh and no side

                    • Be easier for you just to point out which ones you think are played with side Ramon.

If anyone on here knows their own game inside out its j6, if he says he's played no side he means he's played no side. The guy has more knowledge and ability than most of us put together.

                        • When J is 1/3 high on the black he is addressing the CB at low 6 o'clock, pushing the cue through to pull off a screw shot to hold the CB. I hope I have explained that properly, but he could have played the 1/3 blacks with left hand side. Depends what a player is comfy with.

                          Sure the above correct,,,, J?.

                          • screw stun run
the cue im using has much more give and when playing left hand side i would need to aim thiner where as with my cue playing the same shot i would play it a bit thick so, it would be guess work. no side, just timing the white off the natural angle to get right for the next shot

Pretty much what I mean, J..

What cloth is on the table. With No10 those high blacks have to be cued very nicely to hold. Imo, thats why some pro's will use the side to widen the angle, which makes the CB cover more cloth which will halt its pace.

Been playing with just the yellow and black on their spots, going from one to another. Thats a good workout too.

                              Nice play J...
