Hi bluenose, just for your info. The Tournament Champion balls are around 142g. The Aramith Premier are around 128g. Club balls (which could be any make) can vary widely in weight. I weighed a set in my club a while back and a lot of the Reds were about 137-139g. Worse case scenario is where the sets get mixed up and you end up with balls of all different weights. It happens. Having a nice shiny set of your own TC's to practice with is great.Last edited by Bigmeek; 21 March 2016, 09:45 AM.

I know that some of you more experienced players will say that it's pretty obvious if the instructor says he is "going to play a stun run-through" but for some of us with less ability, a little more by way of descriptive comments would benefit us.
Just the thoughts of a 75 year old wrinkley who is fairly new to the game!Originally Posted by j6uk View Postthanks for that bluenose, i will expand on where im stricking the cb in future vids, but be aware that there could be differing reations on the white between players, the timing of the shot and playing condition

yellow
with side
without side
green
one cushion outside the blue
two cushions inside the blue
brown
one cushion
screw shot
two cushions for the middle

Great Videos J6, I have been off my table for a week and off TSF busy studying for an exam April 23. I hope to maybe take a little time to myself over the long weekend and practice. I have my GBL cue on its way back after being shortened. I have to get back on that Black routine. You make it look so easy." Practice to improve not just to waste time "

maybe its the camera angle , but does look lower than center
inside and outside the blue offther green and yellow is an important one to grasp..

My sincere apologies for what might seem like a stupid question...........................again!!!! Sorry
Thank you for the images j6uk but can I ask you what numbering system you are using for these please. I have always used the 'clockface' system, i.e. deep screw would be 6 o/c, side would be 9 o/c or 3 o/c and top would be 12 o/c with all other positions in between. Any books that I have read always refer to the 'cue-ball clockface' and is shown numbered as such.
Sorry to appear dim. But may thanks again for being so helpful.

Not a stupid question Bluenose. Different people use different methods so it's important to understand what's being explained. I've used the clock face method for years but lately I've seen folk practicing and they use +/-. Don't ask me to explain but the plus and minus seem to be up or down a bit from centre ball striking. Plus 1 would be just a above centre and minus 1 would be just below centre. Extreme bottom for screw back would be about minus 4 or 5 I guess. Don't know how side is accommodated.
