  • Looking hunched and too high on the shot

I hope this gets answered as it's basically regarding my stance on a pool table. I look fine on a snooker table but on a pool table. I have been told I look high on the shot and look hunched as if I am standing too close. I lift the but of the cue to reach the chest. I have tried bending the knee more just can't get my body down!! Any suggestions I'm 5ft 10.

Can you not film yourself or get a pal to film you at the snooker table and then at the pool table and see if you can spot the differences.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Not really helpful doing it on a snooker table then a pool table for comparison. They are two totally different stances.

You're standing a little close into the table is all it is, bend knees and bend into the table a little further back. You're not really looking for a snooker stance, you're positioning is a little different over a pool table. You don't need to get as low or flat in the back as snooker, but you should be able to get a little better shape by bending into the table a little further back and maybe adjust you're hand placement a little...

        spot on.

Hunching up is pretty indicative of standing to close to the shot. One thing that I'm currently working on

Thank you for the replys will definitely try and adjust my feet a tiny bit further back and also fantastic point about hand position maybe consciously look at placing my bridge hand a tiny bit further back and see how it goes! Will go my pool hall tomorrow and get back to you nervous I am going to miss everything at first getting used to a new position
