.... you're doing it wrong. Even though I've never seen you hit a ball. Do it like I say. No I wont post a video of me doing what I'm telling you to do.
.....my highest break is 40 and I've read a lot of posts on TSF so am now an official snooker expert/coach, don't listen to the quality players on the forum with actual knowledge. Listen to me, you're doing it wrong. Your'e not sighting the ball correctly and your stance is way out. Don't bother posting pics/videos of yourself playing I already know your issues.
Wish I had a player like Inevermiss and others, around my club ,who if you were willing to work and listen they would help you, I know it's not an answer but it's how I feel.
If you want my usual **** take answer it would be
I'm no coach but...... Don't worry absoloutly everyone else on here is.

ITSNOTEASY I swear we sing from the same hymn sheet on a hell of a lot of topics. I literally cringe watching relative beginners being told by very average players to do this and that. What on earth qualifies people to give advice and swear it's gospel.

Steady Tom lol, few of us still try to help even though you want to say. I'm not a coach but if your asking daft questions on here you may as well give up!

Mate you can give advice and what you advise is sound. You don't go into depth on subjects you don't understand and can play the game to a good standard yourself. It's the copy and paste paragraphs we read that irritate the most. And the cases where a guy who 6 months previous asks how to grip a cue is now an expert on all areas of the game.
To be fair Tom, on here it's kind of a tough one, the very good players don't post much because of the bickering and when they do ,Pottr and even Frazz for example, folk tell them where they are going wrong lol, it makes me cry never mind cringe, when I read those posts I just think ,well that's someone else who's not going to offer help again.
So all you are left with are folk around my standard some a bit below some a bit above trying to answer other's questions rather than there being no help offered.
Maybe the answer could be a list of the very good players on here and if a coaching question is asked they can answer on a rotation basis or even just if they spot it first they get first crack, no other answers can be given untill the original poster has had their one on one conversation with the member off the list, then after that it could be opened up for other questions and viewpoints . This may keep the answers on topic, clear and correct, and may help everyone reading as the thread won't get cluttered.

I guess at the end of the day it's a forum so it's difficult to ask certain members to not comment on things and hey a lad new to the game with a 16 as his highest break may find something incredible that could help us all! Pottr's a very good friend of mine we play in the same league and are pairs partners, I can certainly vouch for his knowledge being excellent, he's certainly helped to bring my game on in the past 4/5 years we've known eachother.

Aye your probably right Tom, it would never work.
You are very lucky to have a good snooker scene down where you are, and it must be great having someone of Pottrs standard to spar with and pick up the odd tip( to be fair he doesn't seem the type to hold back if he has something to tell you which is just the way I like it).
