What should be the ideal speed of shot preparation feathers. I have realised too slow or too fast feathering speed can tighten or twist your grip.Is there any optimum pace that one should follow? Having said that, I have seen that Ronnie o Sullivan and Ding have pretty fast feathers and Marco fu has them extremely slow, yet they cue perfect.Thanks.

I have thought the same thing, because lately i have tried to feather in the speed that feels good for the shot. Seems like the speed of the feathers depend how difficult the shot is. In harder shots I feather more slowly than in other shots that are easier. When you look O´Sullivan, Selby or Ding to me it seems like there pace is always the same! Or is it??? any comments?
I dont know if it´s good to have different pace of feathers in different days or shots, because of you mood? But it is something I have focused a lot in the past for weeks.
Also I think if you focus on the pace of the feathers in the beginning of a play, seems like it gives you a tone for the rest of the session.
I think I have improved my overall feeling down in the shot because of my focus of the pace! I really would like to hear from others how important they feell this thing!!

about 0.256 mph I reckon for optimum performance..You need to buy a speedo on the bay first, a cheap bicycle one will do ya! you strap it to your cue carefully and the sensor to your chin. practice until you feel you can consistently feather at this speed and you're golden...
