A cut shot to the right. The red circle is the pocket.

I think most people line up as in image A. For me, it's image B

Question for right handed players.

Well, first please excuse the crudeness. I had to use oranges to hopefully explain things, and couldn't wait until I was at a pool table.

Imagine the clip (inside the red circle) is the pocket. Of these two images (A & B). Which one would you consider to be correct?

I'd play shot A. Neither shot is 'correct' as we don't have a cue reference point from which to line the shot up. The cue is missing. I guess the OP has used the camera as the cue but it doesn't work so well. Some of this will also depend on which eye is dominant. If you're L eye dominant and R handed, shot A is still the better one but you'd still miss.

The dining room is a little ornate but very nice.

I think the picture is meant to be the head position of what the player is seeing whilst on the line of aim . So if you imagine standing with your feet together on the line of aim with the cue across your body just before you start to walk into the shot

What on Earth is this all about? I don't understand the point that's being illustrated?

A) A Christmas Carol, would you leave the orange for the hired hand as an Xmas bonus or B) eat it?

I'm just guessing here, if you are seeing picture B while you are down, it probably means your "center of vision" is to the left of your cue, and you need to adjust your stance to put it right on top of your cue. To my understanding, "center of vision" does not simply mean dominant eye. Take a look at Nic's video on youtube about how to find your vision center. let me know if you can't find it.

I remember me and my first snooker buddy using a mirror to check alignment when sighting.. LMAO when I think back..

There is no substitute for hours and hours of practice. You can even become a good player with flaws if you put the work in.

A large mirror at the end of a table has helped a lot of folk straighten up their cue action and see dead straight down the cue and along the shot line. Not to be dissed by any means. Mirrors don't lie.
